FUNDRAISING SUCCESS CENTER

SELL MORE. HELP MORE.

You've got the socks. You've got a great cause. Now let's get selling!

Fundraising doesn't have to feel complicated or awkward. The most successful sellers simply tell people what they're doing, why it matters, and give them an easy way to help.

We've put together our favorite tips, ideas, challenges, and ready-to-use messages to help you reach more people, sell more socks, and raise more money.

START HERE

DO THESE 3 THINGS FIRST

You don't need a complicated sales plan. Start with these three simple actions.

1

SHARE YOUR FUNDRAISER

Don't keep it a secret!

Send your fundraising link directly to friends and family and share it on social media.

2

PERSONALLY ASK PEOPLE

Posting is great—but don't stop there.

“Hey! Would you help support my fundraiser?”

A personal message is much harder to scroll past than a social media post.

3

FOLLOW UP

People are busy.

Someone may fully intend to order and simply forget. A friendly reminder a few days later can make a big difference.

TOP SELLER TIP

The most successful fundraisers don't necessarily know more people.

THEY USUALLY JUST ASK MORE PEOPLE.

🙌

SAY THANK YOU

Every supporter matters. A simple thank-you goes a long way.

THE BIGGEST MISTAKE?

DON’T GIVE UP AFTER ONE POST.

Fundraising works when people hear about your fundraiser more than once.

IT'S ABOUT MORE THAN SOCKS

REMEMBER YOUR WHY.

Every pair of socks represents something bigger.

You're raising money for something you care about—and through We Help Two, fundraising can make an impact beyond your own organization, too.

So when you feel nervous about asking someone to buy, remember why you're asking.

YOU'RE GIVING THEM AN OPPORTUNITY
TO BE PART OF SOMETHING GOOD.
🤝
FOR PARENTS & GUARDIANS

PARENT CORNER

Have a younger seller? Help them succeed without doing all the selling for them.

Help them make a list of people they know.

Encourage them to personally do the asking whenever possible.

Share their fundraising link with family and friends.

Post the fundraiser on your social media.

Share the fundraiser at work when appropriate.

Help them send thank-you messages.

Celebrate progress—not just the final total.

One of the best things you can teach a young fundraiser is that asking takes courage— and hearing “no” is okay.

KEEP GOING!
NEED AN IDEA?

50 WAYS TO SELL MORE SOCKS

You don't need one huge sales idea. Successful fundraisers usually do lots of little things consistently.

Pick a category. Choose a few ideas. Then go do them!

  6. Show your favorite pair.
  7. Have the student or participant do the asking.
  8. Tell people your personal sales goal.

  4. Ask, “Which pair would you pick?”
  5. Use Facebook Stories for easy reminders.

05 GO BEYOND YOUR PHONE 41–46
  1. Keep a fundraiser flyer handy.
  2. Use a QR code.
  3. Put a flyer on an approved community bulletin board.
  4. Ask whether a parent can display a flyer at work.
  5. Bring up your fundraiser at practices, meetings, or activities when appropriate.

When you think you're finished, think of one more person you haven't asked. Then ask them.
YOUR CHALLENGE: Choose 5 things you haven't tried yet and do them today.
ONE LAST THING...

YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO ALL 50.

Choose five things you haven't tried yet and do them today.

Then choose five more.

Fundraising isn't about having the perfect sales pitch or being the most outgoing person in the room.

It's about giving people an opportunity to support something that matters.

KEEP ASKING.
KEEP SHARING.
KEEP GOING.

The more people you reach, the more opportunities you have to raise money for your cause—and the more good we can do together.

SELL SOCKS.   RAISE FUNDS.   HELP TWO.
